Komoro city, which is located in the eastern part of Nagano prefecture, is said to have a very suitable environment for making wine.
Manns Wine Komoro Winery produce world-class wines in this ideal environment.
The production quantity is small, and for this reason all guests are able to experience our wines more intimately.
If you come and join our winery tour, you will be able to understand and come to like our winery and, of course, wines.
First, after entering the orientation room, a guide will introduce Komoro winery, grapes and how we make our wines. After that, you will watch our promotional video for the winery.
Compared to European countries, Japan is a rainy country.
However Manns Wines devised the "Rain Cut method" in vineyards to best make wines.
A guide will show you the vineyards. You will be able to see trees and depending on the season, you may be able to see bunch of grapes.
Our wine matures slowly in the Ripen Cellar.
In this room, our wine matures slowly inside the barrels and bins.
We call it "nurturing". A young wine gets the aroma of the barrel while it matures and then is moved to a bin from the barrel, making the wine more flavorful in the bin.
This is a place where you can feel the flow of a certain luxury -time.
Various tanks manage each kind of wine.
There are various types of tanks we use for brewing and wine storage.
Depending on the wine (ex. red or white), or how much wine is in the tank, we use it for different purposes.
By utilizing functions of the tank to the fullest, we will pull out the characteristics of the wine.
Great wines, a wonderful view, a Japanese garden where everything is beautiful.
There are about three thousand square meters of this Japanese garden named "Bansui-en".
"Ban" means "all", "Sui" means "impression", and "En" means "park".
In all four seasons, you can enjoy beautiful views in Bansui-en.
This park is free to walk around, so why don't you take your time after the tour.
